Scope and applicability
These license terms govern installation and use of Moltaro in customer-managed infrastructure. By installing or using the software, you agree to these terms.
License types
- Self-managed Free license: perpetual runtime use with unlimited users and up to 5 GB of total workspace storage.
- Self-managed Unlimited license: perpetual runtime use without a signed workspace-storage limit.
- Product updates: product and security updates are available to both license types without a maintenance subscription.
License grant
Subject to payment and compliance with these terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the software internally for your business.
You may not resell, sublicense, or provide the software as a hosted service to third parties without a separate agreement.
Seats
The Free license includes up to 5 GB of total workspace storage, measured as the PostgreSQL database size plus active files stored outside the database. The paid Unlimited license removes this Moltaro-enforced storage limit unless a signed agreement says otherwise. Actual capacity still depends on customer infrastructure.
Non-payment and grace period
Self-managed runtime licenses are perpetual. Access to product updates does not require a maintenance renewal.
If a license file is missing, invalid, issued for another product, or cannot be verified, the system may switch to ReadOnly mode. If a free-plan volume limit is reached, growth operations may be blocked until usage is reduced or the license is upgraded; reads, exports, deletes, archive/complete/remove/cancel-style remediation actions, and other cleanup actions may remain available.
Updates and support
Product and security updates are available to Free and Unlimited installations through the Portal. Commercial support, implementation, training, and separately licensed modules may be offered under separate terms.
License verification
On-prem deployments use offline license verification. If a license is missing or invalid, the system may restrict functionality.
Telemetry
On-prem telemetry is disabled by default.
If telemetry is enabled by agreement, it is limited to operational and usage signals needed to improve the product, and will never include sensitive content without explicit consent.
