Moltaro 0.0.39-beta
Release date: 2026-09-06
Runtime VM transfers can now deliver file access to their selected destination before the application’s final placement is switched. This removes a blocker when restoring the same application onto another VM with its existing Object Storage.
Highlights
Section titled “Highlights”- Permit file-access delivery to the exact target of an active VM transfer.
- Keep the original application placement until target restoration succeeds.
Detailed changes
Section titled “Detailed changes”Transfer preparation validates the destination against the active server-recorded operation and its selected backup. File-access credentials retain application, storage-binding, endpoint and capability validation. A request cannot redirect credentials to an unrelated VM or reuse a failed operation to authorize delivery.
Ordinary startup, in-place restore and restore-as-new keep their existing access rules. The transfer still reuses unchanged Object Storage without downloading all referenced file bodies, and preserves its pre-cutover source recovery behavior.
Database and upgrade impact
Section titled “Database and upgrade impact”No database schema or data migration. This is a Portal-only publication; existing Managed Apps retain runtime 0.0.36-beta without restart. Portal and bundled storage-signing services have a short activation interruption. A PortalDb recovery point and the previous Portal release are retained for rollback.
Deployment and operator actions
Section titled “Deployment and operator actions”Publish with two-phase PortalOnly. No runtime, agent or update packages are published. A failed transfer is not automatically retried by the release. Before a separately initiated transfer, use a current backup matching the runtime and pause application writes; the restored database does not include changes made after that backup. Retain the application’s current Object Storage binding.
Compatibility and breaking changes
Section titled “Compatibility and breaking changes”No known API, SDK, runtime or agent compatibility changes. Ownership and transfer eligibility rules are unchanged. Failed and unrelated operations do not grant destination file access.
