Roles

Roles group users by broad responsibility or authority. A role might represent administrators, configurators, auditors, operators, reviewers, or another group that needs similar permissions.

Roles are useful because access should be managed through stable groups instead of repeated one-off grants. A user’s roles can affect which records, modules, configuration areas, and actions are available.
