Transitions

Transitions define allowed movement between statuses. They can make a board more controlled than a free-form drag from any lane to any other lane.

Current transitions define the allowed path and remain subject to permissions and existing runtime governance. Enabled Board Constraints can now require configurable facts for exact transitions, status entry, and status exit. Status-invariant constraints also protect supported Board Item, Board Data, and Target Entity changes while the item remains in the governed status.

Allow System User

New transitions have Allow System User selected. Leave it selected to let system automation use the transition without writing an access policy yourself. Give the transition and both statuses a key before saving. You can change this setting in either transition editor; the saved summary shows its current value.

Board rules still apply, including constraints and required links. Existing user permissions are unchanged. Clearing the checkbox removes only the access provided by this setting; a separate access policy may still permit a move. The corresponding entries in Security show the owning transition and can be changed only through that transition.
